Understanding that ICT is pervasive, symbolic and therefore important is a key ingredient for any contemporary organization to be successful. Going by my initial research on alliances and their ability to increase ICT capabilities within organizations, I have started researching how strategic management and organizational behavior as such influence the alliance ability to transfer or use ICT capabilities. We have seen that the infusion of ICT into a business poses both threats and opportunities, which in turn entail a number of managerial challenges that improperly handled could significantly shift firm performance. This leads into another area of interest that I am actively pursuing at the present time, which is striving to better understand how ethics, or the understanding of ethics within organizations, influences an organization's ability to manage a modern workforce, and how this in turn influences the use of alliances.
